The Black Hand was formed from a close group of former EQII players. We have always performed at the top of our respective classes and seek to continue that tradition. In that regard, we exist primarily as a home for like minded individuals that strive to be the best at everything they do.

Age of Conan is a mature rated game, and The Black Hand is a mature rated guild. Our members are of varying ages, but maintain a high maturity level when we need to. We aspire to be an elite guild, this includes both PvE and PvP content. Our goals: Have fun, while challenging ourselves daily in all aspects of the game. "Basically we wanna kill shit, no matter where it is, what it is, or how we do it!"

We value unity, integrity and excellance. We expect members to represent these traits. Unity is a lost concept in today's age where most people want instant gratification, only looking out for themselves to get ahead of others. We do everything as a unit.

We love to have fun, but we don't do drama. If you're a drama queen/king then don't bother reading further. Our current members are straight forward and at times blunt. Be willing to give and receive carefully thought out constructive criticism. Emphasis on constructive. If you can't handle honest answers, this may not be the place for you. If you play with us, you play to win, settling for second best is not acceptable. Strive to be the best.

While all of the above sounds "hardcore," we are pretty laid back most of the time, we just strive to be best. We are together because we believe in the hardcore mindset and that is to achieve one's truest and highest potential, which enables you to excel at anything you do in life.

While we recognize that real life always comes first, we're looking for our members to be active. That means play, not log in and chat a few minutes, then not show up for a few days. We also want our members to be fairly self sufficient. We don't want to hand hold our members through every step of the game, with the understanding that help may be needed for harder quests, or group content, etc. If you give help, you will get help.

We embody the spirit of fair play between all players, not just our members. We do not/will not discriminate against anyone based on race, religion, sex or creed. Although we must note, if your creed is in direct opposition to the ideals set forth for this guild, we will not suffer hurtful, offensive, racist and other hateful tenets. Play in any aspect of the game you like, challenge yourself to the best you can be, all while respresenting your fellow guildmates as you want them to respresent you.

The Charter and Policies are guidelines. They are not written in stone, they can and will change over time. Remember that officers/leaders sacrifice a little of their game time to organize and resolve issues but we still want to play. The officers/leaders are the guiding hand. We're not here to waste time debating various topics, writing policy and ironing out every specific issue that could possibliy arise. That doesn't mean we won't listen to suggestions. In that regard, the officers/leaders have final say in all matters. We as a guild reserve the right to modify and interpret any policy as we see fit.

We're a group of mature players and we're a no nonsense kind of guild. We expect our members to be the same way. It's been mentioned before and it's mentioned here again: We're not going to babysit.

We're not going to get into petty debates/discussions over anything in the guild. We do NOT do drama. Want drama? Watch a soap opera and expect a boot in the ass. We're here to enjoy the game, not wipe the tears from a carebear's eyes.

The message boards are the easiest way to convey information to the guild as a whole, without wasting time. This means that all members should be at least registered on the boards/website and have at least read our Charter and Policies. The information presented on the message boards will be posted with or without notice to guild members. Don't say that you didn't know something because you failed to check the boards or read the policies/charter. If you can't be bothered to check from time to time, then don't expect to be part of guild decisions.

We will NOT tolerate asshats. This is open to the discretion of the guild officers/leaders. Once you get to know us, you'll understand that we won't make rash decisions or be jackasses on a power trip. If your removed, it's for a damn good reason.

Just because your officially in The Black Hand does not mean we can not/will not kick your ass if you start acting like a douche bag. Keep that in mind.

Remember to represent the guild as you want to be represented.

If a player is inactive for 30days (time frame can vary), without some type of communication to guild officers/leaders, they will be removed from the guild. Alts of current active members excluded.
